Gecko!
)
That's from a trip I went to today with the Chen Chi Rotary Club. I went on a whole-day trip with my home ma's rotary club today, so had to get up from 6 am in the morning - yaaawn. It was by bus as always so I didn't pass out from need of sleep though. But it's not like I'm implying now that I slept in the bus for more than 5 minutes so I'm going to have a good night sleep very soon hopefully.
)
We went several places. The first one was a mountain called Shi Ba Jien San. On the above picture you can see the view over the nearby city, Shien Ju.
)
This mountains trails are really popular amongst the elderly in it's area. A lot of them come here to exercise, not just by walking through the rather long trails you can find there, but they also use a bunch of tools for working out that are put up here by the government.
)
There's a suggestion of what you can do with the benches, bars and stuff around the trail.
)
There's also pavilions everywhere in the mountain, so there's plenty of space for you to sit and rest, eventually eat and enjoy the view if you like. Some of them can also be used for dancing.
)
)
Later we went to have some eat in some of the most unpopulated parts of the countryside here - people live almost as far from each other here, as they do in an average danish city.
)
We eat a lot of stomach here nowadays.

)
We also went to Mao Li Gong Yen and had a look at this awesome tree. The tree was not really what we came for, but since some moron had released two crazy dogs at the old train station that we were there to have a look at, we had to stay away.
)
The Taiwanese really likes bridges. They build them everywhere they want to go, even if it's over a pretty tall mountain. This one must be a little out of the ordinary I think. Or perhaps that's just the first time I see one like that from below.
)
Nearby the bridge was also this statue we had a look at.
)
That's me with the statue in the background.
)
And that's the statue with me a little closer to it. I think you'll have to click the image a few times to zoom in order to see me. People really do a lot of things for their gods here.
)
Blaargrg!
)
We even went to the beach at Jong Bu Y Ren Ma Tou. It was quite windy.
)
)
And then went to this place to eat again. That's the restaurant that's famous for it's dishes with goose meat that I visited once before. The rest of the photos are from a nearby temple, a little harbor and then a lot of photos of food and cakes.
If you want to see all of the pictures, click the gecko in the top. I think you'll need a bit of patience or boredom to go through all of them though. There's over 150.
That's my life. I hope yours can be just as exciting, if it's not already, then at least some day soon. Sleep well.
