All Things Lately

 Rainy Day

I wrote these few lines some days ago when not really doing much. That was on the 26th of july, the day before the release of Starcraft 2. Really, today I'm just going to throw some hogwash about nothing much out of the ordinary. (Picture above is from somewhere in Taiwan.):

Have been really lazy with writing since I got back from Taiwan but today at least a few things worthy of note happened. This morning I woke up and there was a big package to me from Taiwan waiting. Guess who the sender was? Me! I love receiving packages from Me. Inside there were all sorts of books and magazines that I had collected on various events during my year in Taiwan. And all my Haruki Murakami books were in there too. So now I can do a bit of book reviewing too if I like. Unfortunately I didn't fit any of my posters in there. Left those in a big tube back in Taiwan because they were too long to fit into this package and my bags for the flight too. Guess what? My previous host family threw them out. That's kind of my fault for leaving them there, but I was in a rush. It's a loos though. I would've loved a few things to splat on these boring white walls in here.

Today I also went to hand in a job application. That must be about first time I did that. I hope it works! I have no idea how else to find jobs because there's not a big need of workforce in Denmark right now, well, depends on how you look on it of course. But especially for people over 18 years taking an education, it's hard to find something to do. And I have never tried seriously looking for part-time jobs before so I'm not very good at it.
But a friend told me about this gas station (mind you, pretty much every gas station in Denmark has a convenience store going with it). They might need extra hands soon, so I was game. Now let's see if they can tell if the one they got from me is the first job application that I have written myself. Go a few years back in time and you will find everyone screaming for extra employees, but now that we've had the financial crisis, people just want a few full-time workers, so I'll cross my fingers on this, otherwise I'll have to actually start trying hard to get a job somewhere.

After writing that, I wasted away a few hours and then went to the city after 12 am to see if the store that I'd ordered Starcraft II from was open during midnight. Who knows if they were? I arrived there at 12.50 am or something so they might as well have finished it up and closed already. Next day I went up to get it, then went to a party, downed a lot of rum and had a hangover afterwards (I don't usually have hangovers.)
Then, on towards my other friends house were we held a belated release-party and gamed Starcraft all night. Woo. I was a wreck after that. Two nights with no good sleep in a row. Then I went and had a talk with the doctor about my fucked up toes. And a Herpes A and B vaccine shot. Now it'll work for another 25 years, yeah.

I almost forgot to tell you: The night where we gamed Starcraft II, an incredible rainfall occurred. It was still on while I was waiting for the bus towards home, meh. A few lakes in my home city had risen by meters. Also, that tunnel that goes underneath the train station was totally flooded so it was a bit of an amusement to stand at the bus station, (which is just on the other side of the tunnel,) waiting to get picked up. I haven't seen that before: The tunnel getting flooded like that.

Tonight I'm going out again to another party. Hopefully a big one with lots of people that I've missed. I'll bring my camera and computer I guess. But I don't know if I will post any photos later on, because it's at the same place as the grill party I wrote about a few ages ago, and I don't want it to become to bland.

Hey, cya. And good luck with getting those beta-invites, ey.
